About Us
A community-focused café nestled in the heart of Stoke Bishop, The Hideaway @ Discovery is a café focused on providing a welcoming atmosphere in a comfortable setting. The café provides speciality coffee, an all-day freshly prepared brunch menu, fresh pastries, alcoholic beverages and more. We love to work with suppliers that are local to Bristol and the South West, where possible, including Clifton Coffee, Wiper and True, Hobbs House Bakery and Bristol Cider. We’ve aimed to create a space that can be enjoyed by everyone, with a children’s play area so that parents and carers can relax with a drink, space to catch up with a book club or walking group, and a lovely terrace to soak up the sun during the summer and comfy chairs to cosy up in the winter months.
Discovery Education
The Hideaway @ Discovery sits under Discovery Education, a company providing alternative learning provision to children and young adults in 8 sites across North Bristol. Discovery Education’s ethos is simple: children and young people deserve the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. As part of this, The Hideaway @ Discovery will be working with teenagers who are working towards BTEC qualifications in hospitality and catering, learning with their 1 to 1 tutors in the kitchen and café space, gaining the education and experience essential to progressing into employment in the hospitality industry! Our play area acts as an extension of this.

Looking for the perfect venue in Bristol? The Hideaway @ Discovery offers a charming and versatile space for all kinds of events. With the capacity to host up to 120 guests (80 seated), our venue is ideal for events of all kinds. We offer venue hire and catering for both private and non-private events, from intimate gatherings and creative workshops to networking events, private celebrations, and community meet-ups.
The venue features a children’s play area, a licensed bar, an easily adaptable space and a range of catering options. In turn, creating a warm and social atmosphere that allows guests to feel connected to the space and to one another.
